Presented by Sarah Hunstead – paediatric nurse, author and founding director of CPR Kids, 10199NAT Course in recognition and first aid care for sick or injured children has been purposely designed to build First Aid trainers paediatric skills and knowledge to confidently deliver the paediatric components of the first and units in the HLT training package.

• Understanding medical action plans
• Communication techniques with sick or injured children

This training is being delivered by CPR Kids on behalf and in partnership with The First Aid Group RTO 32268.
Under agreement, this training is being advertised by the National Institute of First Aid Trainers.
10199NAT Course in recognition and first aid care for sick or injured children comprises of two units of competency.
These are HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting and RFARRS001 Recognise and respond to sick or injured children.
The training and assessment being conducted at this workshop will only cover the requirements of RFARRS001 Recognise and respond to sick or injured children. Participants will need to provide a current HLTAID004 certificate to be credited for this unit in order to receive the full qualification. Participants who are unable to provide a current HLTAID004 will only receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed.
