AED's in Remote Communities
Quote from joel tweedy on November 13, 2025, 1:34 pmI'm a travelling trainer who delivers First Aid in some of the remotest communities (East Arnhem), mostly Indigenous students. The workplaces I'm training at have no Defibrillators, there's AED locator Apps that show you where the nearest ones are but I think they're Make specific. Asking the Manager of the premises who says we'll just ring 000 which should put them through to the clinic, but that could take some time. My question is does anyone know some funding I could access to get them?

I know Greg Page from Heart of the Nation (now merged with heart Foundation) used to help set up funding sources/activities but not too sure now that the 2 entities have merged.
Surely there would be a pretty big bucket from NT government for Indigenous Health initiatives. Perhaps contact them and they can point you in the right direction?
