Formal Training Requirements for Servicing First Aid Kits and AEDs

"Are there any formal training or competency requirements for servicing first aid kits and AEDs?"
The simple answer is no. Apart from having solid product knowledge, there are no specific qualifications, competencies, or training requirements for servicing first aid kits.
If you are advising workplaces on the types of kits, the number required, and the suitability of equipment, it's reasonable to expect that the person has some understanding of workplace health and safety, as well as the first aid code of practice.
Regarding AEDs, it depends on what "servicing" entails. If it involves checking the battery status indicator light and the electrode pad expiry date, then simple product knowledge should suffice. However, if the AED has particular testing and servicing requirements, it's advisable to refer to the manufacturer's guidelines on who is qualified to perform such tasks.
I hope this helps.
